Lisa, raised in Las Vegas, studied Film and Broadcasting in college, currently unemployed and thus spends too much time watching TV (for ~research) and hanging out on the internet.

peasantings: Once a year the world stops its hustle and bustle and decides to enjoy the strong and silent and environmentally friendly properties of trees, and on this day anything is possible, as we see through an interconnecting set of stories. Environmental activist Steve is in love with snobby socialitie Adelaide and pursues her wildly for both her love and her support of his causes, not knowing that his best friend Lisa has been in love with him for years. Will sassy enivronmental lawyer Max help him find his way to true love? Meanwhile, Steve’s intern Kaylee is beset with fear that her boyfriend, Ben is cheating on her with his new biology lab partner, Sue. Especially since he skipped out on attending Tree-A-Palozza with her.  Ben’s brother Dr. Raymond Whitmire is having his own Arbor Day troubles as he is currently engaged in a battle of the environmental science lab with fellow scientist Dr. Caroline Whitford. But are there more sparks in the lab flying than the ones coming from the Bunsen burners? Park Ranger and single father John has become totally cynical about Arbor Day ever since his wife left him on that day for a botanist. The only comfort he finds is talking to adorable jogger and nature lover Mary-Ann who gets lost in the park everyday. On his way to comfort John on his day of misery, but also with sideplans of his own to meet a potential boyfriend he met at a lumberjack convention is Bill, who gets into a deep conversation about life and trees with Hayden, a man who makes the trip to the city for mysterioius, but emotionally manipulative reasons. Topping it off, is the tale of Jill and Johann two children who love trees and each other, and might have more to say about the nature of love than a normal child their age might. Will true love avail on Arbor Day? Who knows what America’s second favorite environmentalist holiday will bring? LET LOVE TAKE THE ELM.
