Words Taste Like Peaches

Lisa, raised in Las Vegas, studied Film and Broadcasting in college, currently unemployed and thus spends too much time watching TV (for ~research) and hanging out on the internet.

Oh, look, I have an intro post now.

People who have seen Young Adult…

Is there some unexpectedly sad subplot (or main plot) about anyone dying or being dead?

This is important information to know, because my mom and I have a habit of not doing our research and picking movies to see around the holidays right after we’ve lost a loved one. (In 2005, it was The Family Stone, and we sobbed in the theatre because my grandma had just died of cancer. On Christmas Day this year, it was We Bought a Zoo in which his wife has died and this was like 5 days after my aunt died.)

SO OBVIOUSLY WE NEED YOUR HELP. NO SAD MOVIES. Help?

  1. peasantings answered: The only “death” so to speak is that one character had a miscarriage, but it’s not a happy film. Lotsa talk of depression and bullying etc.
  2. gigglemonster answered: Actually yeah there is kinda. But they don’t go into it very deeply.
